INA-Baghdad The Investigation Office of Commission of Integrity revealed of precluding an attempt to smuggle more than 100 trucks loaded with wood from the northern Um Qasr port. The office mentioned in a statement that its staff in Basra Governorate performed special operation led to catching 105 trucks full of wood belong to a private company and were prepared to smuggle. The primary investigations done by the office resulted in discovering manipulation and evading from paying the cargo’s customs fees, beside other illegal procedures, the statement added. The office held the trucks documents and customs declarations of the cargo, besides sending a notification to the Southern Region Customs Directorate to get informed about the occurred violations, the statement concluded.
