The investigation office of the Commission of Integrity curbed customs files for some containers full of medicines that got out of Um Qasr Port despite of no import license for the cargo.
A statement issued by the investigation office said that its staff in Basra Province, which moved its works to the mentioned port, curbed six customs files for eight medicine containers got out of the port without an import license.
The primary investigations found faked documents concerning these containers, the statement showed, adding that another team of Basra Integrity branch was able to curb a freezer full of meat in Um Qasr Port, also without an import license, and against the lawful procedures.
The statement affirmed that both cases were sent to the concerned investigation judges who observe the integrity issues in Basra to take the due diligence procedures.
