Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi announced today, Monday, the success of the latest electoral simulation process.
Prime minister media office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "During his visit to the Independent High Electoral Commission, Al-Kadhimi was briefed on applying the fifth simulation process, which was implemented prior to the holding of October 10th elections."
Al-Kadhimi indicated that "The success of implementing the fifth simulation today, indicates the full preparations and readiness for holding fair and transparent elections, which express the aspirations of Iraqis for the future."
Al-Kadhimi stressed that "The government has fulfilled its pledges made to the Iraqi people, and has provided all measures that would facilitate the work of IHEC ,and enhance the democratic experience," noting that "the October 10th elections are a historic opportunity for change and course correction."
The Prime Minister stressed that "any attempt to falsify the elections should be dealt decisively and not to be allowed," Stressing "the continued follow-up of abuses and breaches by candidates and parties, where they will be dealt legally by IHEC"
