The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) confirmed on Friday, that the ballot paper is fully encrypted and cannot be reproduced.
"The ballot paper contains very high security codes," IHEC spokeswoman Jumana al-Ghalay told The Iraqi News Agency (INA), adding that "the paper paste is different from the normal paper because it is fully encrypted when cloning and is not taken by cloning devices."
"The cloning device cannot pick up these codes," she said, noting that "these codes allow the device to speed up the results by reading the real ballot paper, distinguishes the unreal paper, and cannot accept a paper other than the ballot."
"The company that printed the ballot paper is the same company that printed the Iraqi currency," she said, adding that "the company's guarantees are in the paste of the existing paper s, and there are guarantees and high technical specifications," noting that "the agreement with the company was made in cooperation with the United Nations for electoral assistance and agreement."
Legislative elections will be held on The 10th of October with the participation of 3,249 candidates across Iraq.
