Security Media Cell - SMC announced on Tuesday, arresting a prominent Daesh leader who attacked several time the security forces and citizens, in which many were killed in Diyala.
“With field efforts and careful intelligence work, the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency was able to arrest a terrorist from the leaders of Daesh terrorist gangs, who participated in many attacks against our security forces and citizens, including in 2007, which was launched by terrorist gangs attacked one of the vital areas linking Baghdad - Kirkuk and Baghdad - Diyala, as well as, another attack on the Khuwailis area linking Hibhib, Al Hadid, Arab Shoka and the Aswad area,” included SMC in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
According to the statement, "The accused also participated in an attack in Diyala Governorate, which lasted for a whole day, killing many unarmed citizens in Al-Khuwailis village, as this terrorist tried to hide from the eyes of the security forces, but the efforts of continuous action resulted in his arrest, and his statements were initially and judicially entered into a confession,”
