Rashid arrives in Wasit

The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, arrived on Friday in Wasit province.

The Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, arrived today in Wasit province, marking the start of the official celebration of the province's day, where he was received by its governor Muhammad Jamil Al-Mayahi and a number of other officials."

The statement added, "During his visit, the President of the Republic is scheduled to hold a number of official meetings, and will also participate in official and popular events held on the occasion."
