The Independent High Electoral Commission announced on Thursday, the date for holding the elections for the internally displaced persons (IDPs), while confirmed conducting the draw for selecting the staff for the polling day.
IHEC said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that the elections for the IDPs will take place on the eighth day of October, with the date of the special voting, noting that more than 120 thousand IDPs will vote in the camps.
Earlier, on the second of last May, the Independent High Electoral Commission renewed its commitment to hold the elections on their scheduled date, on October tenth.
