Mohamed Salah has called out Liverpool for their shaky defence despite the team thrashing Tottenham.
After banging in a double to secure Arne Slot's squad a hefty 6-3 triumph over Spurs on Sunday evening, the Egyptian king didn't hold back. The Reds now sit pretty, four points clear at the top of the Premier League table with a game in hand over Chelsea, as they brace for the festive period.
Salah's second screamer pushed Liverpool ahead to 5-1, but goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke gave Spurs a sliver of hope in the last 20.
Unfortunately for Tottenham, the late mini surge didn't do justice to Liverpool's total domination, putting a bit of a damper on Salah's celebratory mood. Despite helping shove the title charge further along, the striker was blunt about needing a defensive boost, reports the Mirror.
"We worked quite good upfront but defensively we need to improve as a team. Conceding three goals is quite hard. But it's a good result. We expected [chaos] the way they play, they open the game," Salah weighed in post-match to Sky Sports.
