Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani spoke today with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan the two leaders discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them across various fields the talks emphasized productive partnerships that support development programs and mutual interests, as well as an exchange on regional developments.
“The phone call included a review of Arab efforts to support stability in Syria, with a focus on Iraq’s proposals in the working paper presented at the Aqaba meeting,” according to press release by the Media Office of the Prime Minister, received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA.
Prime Minister Al-Sudani stressed, "the importance of unifying Arab efforts, coordinating joint actions, and supporting the Syrian people during this critical phase.”
The Prime Minister reiterated ,”Iraq’s commitment to peace and stability initiatives, highlighting the necessity of intensifying efforts to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza, ending the aggression against the Palestinian people, preventing further escalation of conflict in the region, and consolidating the ceasefire in Lebanon.”
