The Joint Operations Command revealed on Tuesday, preparing plans in coordination with the Ministry of Electricity to protect the power transmission towers, while announcing the arrest of number of those involved in targeting the power towers.
JOC spokesman, Major General Tahsin al-Khafaji, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): The Joint Operations Command has plans prepared in coordination with the Ministry of Electricity to protect the power towers, affirming that the leadership has introduced a new technical effort in the process of protecting electric power towers.
Al-Khafaji added, JOC was able to arrest a number of those involved in targeting the power towers through qualitative operations, noting that ambushes were used and forces were deployed to protect the towers, as well as aerial reconnaissance, whether by Air Force planes and army aviation or by detachments, or even by unmanned aerial vehicles.
