The joint comments on the withdrawal of a special force of the coalition towards Kuwait

    The Joint Operations Command commented, today, Sunday, on the withdrawal of a special force of the international coalition towards Kuwait.
    The spokesman for the joint operations, Major General Tahsin al-Khafaji, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The recent dialogue and meetings and the agreement stipulates that there be a schedule for the withdrawal of combat forces from Iraq before the end of this year."
    He added, "The coalition forces are working according to the data and what has been agreed upon between Baghdad and Washington," noting that "the shape of the relationship between Iraq and the international coalition has taken another direction." 

    He pointed out that "the coalition forces and the countries of the world are committed to supporting Iraq," noting that "the combat forces must withdraw before the end of this year, according to the agreement." 
    Al-Khafaji indicated that "the international community continues to support the Iraqi security forces in the field of armament, and equipping them with equipment to build their capabilities.".

    The international coalition had announced, earlier, the withdrawal of its forces present in Iraq to Kuwait and the coalition stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "due to the decline in the need for the presence of OTH forces from the coalition forces in Iraq, they returned to their original bases in Kuwait and left Iraq."
    "Forces from the coalition forces (Combined Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve) Force of the Horizon (OTH) recently completed their mission in Iraq and returned to their original base at Camp Boring in Kuwait," they added. 

    in addettion to that , the coalition explained, “The OTH force typically consists of two CH-47 Chinook helicopters and an infantry company that is on 24-hour standby ready to be on wheels at short notice to complete missions. OTH responds when needed in the
    joint operating area to support field personnel. recovery operations, air strikes, and assistance with comprehensive force protection missions."
