Iranian Foreign Ministry clarifies the error in the protocol at Tehran Mehrabad Airport

The Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a clarification regarding the error in the protocol at Tehran Mehrabad Airport. 

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement "Yesterday, Thursday, a mistake occurred in the protocol of ceremonies at Tehran's Mehrabad Airport while receiving Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, where the flag of the region was raised in instead of the flag of the Republic of Iraq, but The most important thing is that the official meeting that brought together the president of the region with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi put the Iraqi flag only, which is correct procedure.  

In addition, "The Islamic Republic always emphasizes the maintenance of the territorial integrity of Iraq and respects its sovereignty, and it has sacrificed the most precious blood for this(Homeland).
