The minister expressed his "welcome to the Saudi delegation, and Iraq's readiness to open up to the Gulf energy market, and to return to negotiations, with a view to completing the Iraqi-Saudi electrical connection through the Yusufiya or Samawa stations," noting that "this connection is very important because of its technical aspect that benefits the national network and achieves stability, and is also a gateway to entering the Gulf market.
The Minister of Electricity stressed to "encourage Arab and foreign investment in the field of energy," noting that "Iraq has no closed horizon towards any of the companies, and that Saudi companies will add new activity to attract Arab brothers to work in Iraq.
Karim explained, "The impact of investment and regional cooperation on the reality of the national system, as he explained to the Saudi delegation the plan that the ministry intends to implement.
