UK confirms the support for holding early elections on time

British Ambassador to Iraq, Mark Bryson-Richardson confirmed on Monday, UK's support for the efforts of the Independent High Electoral Commission to hold the legislative elections on schedule.

"President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, met Richardson, and discussed the follow-up the cooperation between the two countries in the judicial, legal and counter-terrorism issues," according to a statement by the Judicial Council, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

For his part, the British ambassador affirmed UK's support for the efforts of the Independent High Electoral Commission to hold the legislative elections on the specified date and to provide all means for its success.
