The President of the Republic, Dr. Barham Salih, stressed on Saturday the importance of ensuring the quality of communications and providing the best services to the citizens.
The Media Office of the President stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "President Salih, during his meeting with the head of Communication and Media Commission, Ali Al-Moayad, stressed the need to spread democratic concepts and strengthen them by freedom of the opinion and expression in accordance with constitutional standards, adding that media shall adopt a professional discourse that establishes a culture of tolerance among Iraqis and counters hate speech and rumors that seek to target peace, security and society.
Salih also pointed out the importance of ensuring the quality of communications and exerting great efforts to provide the best services to citizens in this regard.
