Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi hosted the ceremony of signing an agreement to export one million tons of heavy fuel oil at the global price to Lebanon.
A statement by the Prime Minister's Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the signing ceremony of the agreement between Iraq and Lebanon included the sale of one million tons of heavy fuel oil at the global price, provided that the payment will be by services and goods.
The statement indicated that "the agreement was signed on with the Iraqi side represented by Minister of Finance Ali Abdul-Amir Allawi, while the Lebanese side represented by the Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water Raymond Ghajar, while the contract was signed on the Iraqi side represented by the Director General of the Oil Marketing Company Alaa Al-Yasiri, and the Lebanese side represented by the General Manager Lebanese oil, Oro Feghali.
