PM: Many important steps we have taken to protect the diplomatic missions

    Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi confirmed that many important steps have been taken to protect diplomatic missions, while warning against using Iraq as a platform to threaten neighboring countries.

    Al-Kadhimi said in a television interview, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Sunday: "We have taken important steps to protect the diplomatic missions.". 

    The Prime Minister also added that: "We will not allow us to be a threatening spot to our neighbors."

    He pointed out that "there is skepticism in every step we take to achieve justice, but we will certainly continue to hunt down all the criminals who committed crimes against the Iraqi people," noting that "corruption is the main cause of accidents in hospitals, as well as nepotism, and employees who are appointed to sensitive positions strongly political parties are also the cause of this problem."
     
    He continued: "What happened in Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital was followed by an investigation, and recommendations related to public safety were issued, but with great regret they were not adhered to in some hospitals, and we directed an investigation into the hospital accident in Nasiriyah, and a government delegation went there, and there will be procedures to hold the negligent and those responsible for it this event".

    He pointed out that "the political system in Iraq needs to be completely reviewed, as well as the constitution, and we need real and correct mechanisms to serve the citizen.

    Prime Minister also said that "The provincial councils were a good step, but the political conflict spoiled the work of these councils," explaining that "corruption and the struggle for influence are what spoiled them."

     The process of providing services to the citizen, which is why the parties participating in the elections should think about providing public service first, rather than looking for prestige and political influence.
