The arrest of 21 wanted in Basra

The Security Media Cell announced on Friday, the arrest of 21 wanted persons in Basra province.

SMC stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that the forces of Basra Operations Command were able to arrest 15 of wanted persons, according to judicial warrants, in Basra province.

SMC added, the security forces were also able to seize (6) AK-47s , a mid-size machine gun, two rifles, quantities of narcotics, light and medium weapons, in addition to seize vehicles without plates.

The statement pointed out that "a joint force was also able to arrest (6) wanted persons in tribal clashes, according to Article 406 of the Criminal Penal Code.
