The Minister of Communications, Hiyam Al-Yasiri, confirmed today, Thursday, that the deployment of the optical cable and the conversion of subscribers from Wi-Fi is in the process of completion while indicating that the optical cable provides a speed that exceeds Wi-Fi by dozens of times.
Al-Yasiri told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "In the remaining part of the government's life, we are working mainly on completing the national mobile phone license with Vodafone," noting "the completion of the deployment of the optical cable and the conversion of subscribers from Wi-Fi to the optical cable, as it provides a speed that exceeds Wi-Fi by dozens of times."
She indicated that "transit and the submarine cable receive great attention, and everything we have established in the reality of the ministry in the remaining life of the government, we are trying to establish it and make the projects come to light."
