The Military Intelligence Directorate stressed its firmly dealing with those who provide weapons to terrorists.
In a statement by the Military Intelligence that received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that the Director of Military Intelligence, Major General Fayez Al-Maamouri, received a delegation of the European Union's Conflict Armament Research (CAR).
Al-Maamouri said that all the technical and scientific development that took place in all the parts of the Directorate are a result of the unlimited support from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the Minister of Defense and the Chief of Staff of the Army.
He stressed the need to deal strongly with the parties that sell and provide weapons to terrorist gangs, pointing out that the directorate seeks to cope with continuous development and global technology in the field of competence and benefiting from global expertise, including the European Union countries.
For its part, CAR’s delegation provided a detailed explanation of the tasks it undertakes in Iraq, and the support provided by the European Union to the Iraqi security forces to confront ISIS terrorist gangs.
The delegation also expressed the readiness of the organization and the European Union to cooperate with the Directorate of Military Intelligence in all specializations that serve its tasks.
