President of Republic stresses importance of Commission for Human Rights role

Today, Wednesday, Salih received at the Peace Palace in Baghdad the members of the High Commission for Human Rights Council.

The President of the Republic, Dr. Barham Salih, stressed the importance of the role of the Human Rights Commission in following up on prison files especially issues related to public rights and freedoms, domestic violence, women's rights and other components, the situation of the displaced and other important issues. President praised the High Commission of Human Rights obtaining the international classification (A), wishing it more success, in effectively performing the tasks entrusted to it and in a manner that serves the goal determine for it in following up the human rights file in Iraq.
