The General Directorate of Intelligence and Security DGIS announced on Monday arresting 6 wanted on charges of terrorism, drug and arms trafficking and kidnapping in Baghdad and Karbala.
According to a statement of the directorate received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said that “The detachments of the Baghdad Intelligence and Security Directorate of the same directorate managed to overthrow four wanted by the judiciary on charges of terrorism, drug and arms trafficking and kidnapping, against whom judicial warrants were issued in accordance with the provisions of articles (1/4 terrorism, 28, 421, 24 weapons)", indicating that "the arrest came through their presence in different areas of the capital, where legal measures were taken against them and referred to the judiciary.”
DGIS pointed out that "with careful field follow-up, the detachments of the Directorate of Intelligence and Security of Karbala arrested two dealers and promoters of narcotic substances in the holy province of Karbala, one of whom is an international dealer, against whom two arrest warrants were issued in accordance with the provisions of Articles (27 and 28 drugs)," noting that "they were duly handed over to the competent authorities."
