The US Embassy in Baghdad announced on Tuesday, that its defense system has repelled an air threat.
A statement by the embassy, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that " Early in the morning of July 6, the defense system was activated inside the American embassy compound in Baghdad and eliminated an air threat."
The US Embassy is working with its Iraqi partners to investigate, and will continue to take all appropriate and necessary measures to protect the safety of its personnel and facilities, the statement added.
