A force of the Federal Police carried out on Sunday, preemptive operations in Kirkuk province.
The Security Media Cell in a statement , received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that a force combined from the Fifth Federal Police Division, and the eighteenth brigade, in cooperation with the Iraqi army aviation, carried out a preemptive operation to raid and search the areas of Wadi Zghitoun and the villages of al-Kubba and Al-Jal, noting thatthe operation resulted in finding 3 hideouts of the terrorist gangs, a rocket launcher, a 60 mm mortar bomb without a detonator, and a daylite binocular.
SMC also mentioned, A joint force from the headquarters of the Third Division and the Twelfth Brigade carried out a preemptive operation to search the villages of Marata Al Saghira, Maratah Al Kabeera and Al Khabaza, which resulted in the discovery of 3 130 mm artillery shells, and two IEDs.
All the seizures were handled and the projectiles were lifted by the engineering staff accompanying the forces, the statement added.
