AIFI thwarts an attack to target power transmission towers in Diyala

The Security Media Cell announced on Monday thwarting an attack to bomb of power transmission towers in Diyala province.
 
SMC stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that the detachments of the Agency of Intelligence and Federal Investigations at the Ministry of Interior were able to foil an attack by ISIS terrorists gangs to detonate two towers for transmitting electrical energy.
 
SMC added that the area is rugged and not controlled by the security forces, as an explosives expert was called for the purpose of dismantling the bombs in the area.
