The Head of "Iraqiun" Coalition, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim discussed with Parliament Speaker Mohammad al-Halbousi the preparations for the upcoming elections and the role of the parliament in oversight and legislation.
Al-Hakim tweeted on his official twitter account, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): We received on Sunday evening the Speaker of Parliament, Mohammad Al-Halbousi, as we exchanged views on the developments of the political scene in Iraq and the region, the upcoming electoral entitlement, and the role of the Iraqi parliament in the next phase.
 
Al-Hakim added, we stressed the importance of preparing for elections and competing on the basis of programs and visions that would change the service and economic situation in the country. emphasizing the importance of adopting the national interest in determining the political paths.
