Ministry of Health announced on Saturday that there is no danger from black or green fungus, while revealing four types of fungus that could infect humans.
The Director of Public Health at the Ministry, Riyad Abdul-Amir, stated to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that the fungi diseases are not human to human transmission, pointing out that the black fungus did not transmitted from India to Iraq, but the factors for led to its emergence of are present in Iraq, which are soil, pollution from dust and patients who have weakened immunity such as people with diabetes, especially those who have underwent corona virus.
The green fungus can exists in any country, and it is the same as the black fungus, noting that fungal diseases are named according to the colors appeared during the infection as there are black, green, yellow and white funguses and they are all from the same origin, Abdul-Amir added.
