AGC Federation announces the Legends Championship next month

    The Executive Office of the Arabian Gulf Cup Federation announced today, Thursday, that the (Gulf Legends) Championship will be held next February.

    The Executive Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "A meeting was held attended by the member of the Executive Office of the Gulf Federation, First Deputy President of the Iraqi Football Association, Ali Jabbar, in response to the initiative of Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs in the State of Kuwait."

    He added, "The tournament was planned to be held on the sidelines of the activities of the 26th Gulf Zain - Kuwait, but it was decided to postpone it to coincide with the activities of the annual national festival hosted by Kuwait next February."

    He pointed out that "the tournament aims to highlight the Gulf football heritage through the participation of the most prominent former football stars in the region, and to enhance the sports and cultural experience benefited from the current version of the tournament."
    The 26th Gulf Zain Championship will conclude with the anticipated final match between the Oman and Bahrain national teams the day after tomorrow, Saturday, at Jaber International Stadium in the Kuwaiti capital, Kuwait.
