Minister of Industry: Iraqi government seeks to restore the balance in the region

Minister of Industry and Minerals, Manhal Aziz al-Khabbaz, affirmed that the government seeks to restore the balance in the region and strengthen relations with all countries, including Syria.
 
Ministry of Industry media office stated in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) on Wednesday, that the Minister of Industry and Minerals, Manhal Aziz al-Khabbaz, arrived in the Syrian Arab Republic for a five-day official visit, at the head of a high-ranking ministerial delegation, in response to the invitation of his Syrian counterpart Ziad Subhi Sabbagh.
al-Khabbaz said, this visit is very important to consolidate the relationship between the two countries and enhance the joint economic cooperation to the best levels, pointing out that the difficult circumstances that both countries endured, affected negatively the joint relations, industrial cooperation and trade exchange. 
According to the statement, the minister and his accompanying delegation will hold bilateral and joint meetings with their counterparts in the Syrian government and a number of government officials to discuss many issues especially in the industrial field, in addition to meeting Syrian industrialists and businessmen and conducting tours in a number of Syrian industrial facilities.
