Health: Iraq free of Delta virus

Ministry of Health and Environment announced that Iraq is free of the Indian "delta" strain so far, while the ministry working to accelerate the completion of laboratories for detecting Corona strains in the Medical City.

Riyadh Al-Hilfi, Director of Public Health, said in a statement today, Wednesday, that Iraq has not recorded any case of the Indian (Delta) strain so far, because it is rapidly spreading and causes many infections, and that the country has not passed at such a stage

He explained that this strain has not been scientifically proven to be more severe than the strains that have spread in countries, and according to current researches, all vaccines work very effectively against all strains, and taking two doses of the vaccine provides strong protection against it and is able to reduce its dangers.
