MOFA receives an official invitation to visit the UAE

The Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received on today Sunday an official invitation to visit the UAE.

The media office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein made a phone call with his Emirati counterpart Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan to offer congratulations on the occasion of the election of the United Arab Emirates as a non-permanent member of the Security Council for the period from 2022-2023".

Hussein indicated, according to the statement, that "the UAE has earned the world's trust in its foreign policy, and has set a diplomatic model for strengthening relations between countries and peoples," stressing "the need for joint action and coordinating efforts in international forums."
And he called: "to strengthen joint action to face the sensitive challenges facing the region."
For his part, Emirati Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed expressed his "thanks and appreciation to the Republic of Iraq for its supportive stances for the UAE in all international forums."
