The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced today, Thursday, the referral of the Child Protection Bill to the House of Representatives.
The secretariat said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Council of Ministers referred the draft child protection law, which was audited by the State Council, to the House of Representatives, based on the provisions of Articles (61 / first - 80 / second) of the constitution."
they added, "The law aims to secure the necessary protection for the child from all forms of violence, force, physical or psychological abuse, neglect or exploitation, and prohibits child trafficking, slavery, coercion to work, or exploitation in any form or involvement in armed conflicts," noting that "the law It also aims to provide a role for social, psychological, health, educational and accommodation protection for a child who suffers from family disintegration or the loss of parental care or one of them for any reason, and to secure all his needs.
