President Barham Salih, confirmed, Sunday, that Iraq supports working with the international community to consolidate the stability of the region.
A statement of president media office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that President Salih received in al-Salam Palace in Baghdad, Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod, as they discussed developing bilateral relations and enhancing prospects for cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
During the meeting, Salih stressed that Iraq looks forward to work with the international community to consolidate security and stability in the region, reduce tensions and defuse crises in order to enhance regional and international security, pointing out that the stability and the sovereignty of Iraq as well as its diplomatic relations are an integral part of the security and stability of the entire region.
The statement also mentioned, that Salih emphasizes on the need to have further coordination to face the challenges of violence , terrorism, health cooperation, as well as facing climate change and protecting the environment that is considered as a global challenge .
