The Ministry of Peshmerga revealed, Friday, a plan to establish joint forces with the Iraqi army, confirming the start of mutual work in the intelligence field.
In a statement to INA, the Brigadier General Othman Muhammad Mustafa, the Director of Information and Guidance in the Ministry of Peshmerga, said that " joint centers have been formed in a specified areas, referring to the start of joint work and coordination between the two parties in the fields of intelligence work, information, data collection, scan and combing the security tension areas.
He also added that these centers will submit data and information to the joint forces in order to implement the necessary measures.
On a related subject, Peshmerga Ministry adviser , Brigadier General Hazar Omar Ismail, also told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Ministry of Peshmerga is currently agreeing with the Iraqi army forces on the procedures to implement the process ," noting that "this step is not sufficient to fill the security gap between the border areas."
