The Minister of Youth and Sports, Adnan Darjal, announced today, Friday, that the Iraqi team in the Arab Cup for Triathlon (swimming - cycling - athletics) won four gold medals in the Arab Championship.
Darjal said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Iraqi team won the Arab Cup for the Triathlon (swimming - cycling - athletics) and our heroes obtained four gold medals in the Arab Championship that was held in Sharm el-Sheikh in the Arab Republic of Egypt, with a large participation of athletes which they represent eleven Arab countries.
He added, "The victory is a great achievement in light of the difficult circumstances that Iraqi sport has experienced."
