Minister of Youth and Sports Adnan Darjal confirmed that all requirements for establishing the 25th Gulf Football Championship will be ready.
This came according to the report of the inspection visit of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation inspection team to the city of Basra to see preparations for hosting the Gulf Cup 25, which was received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
During the visit of the eight buildings, the team met with the Minister of Youth and Sports Adnan Darjal, where he explained Iraq's plan to develop the city of Basra in general through the implementation of a number of investment projects.
"All the requirements for holding the championship will be ready. Iraq is keen to host the 25th Gulf Cup and confirm the ability to do so, and if it was unable to do so, it would not have submitted the bid," Darjal said, according to the report.
He added, "It’s only due to the support of the Gulf countries and Yemen for the file of Iraq hosting the Gulf Cup 25, Iraq would not have taken these advanced steps in preparing,"
