Basra Governor, Asaad Al-Eidani, announced on Wednesday, that Basra's preparations to host the Gulf Cup 25 are moving in the right way, while indicating that the security forces are able to protect the championship.
“Basra's preparations for the Gulf Arab 25 are going on the right path. It is considered as a support for Iraq,” said Al-Eidani in a press conference attended by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
Al-Eidani added that "the challenge before us is to complete the Mina stadium," noting that "this stadium will be ready before October,"
He affirmed that the security forces “are able to protect the 25th Gulf Cup,"
On March 30th, 2021, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi directed the formation of a work team to prepare all the requirements for hosting the Gulf 25.
