Speaker of Parliament Muhammad Al-Halbousi received today, Thursday, an official invitation to visit the UAE.
A statement issued by his office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that "the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, received today the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Salem Issa Al-Zaabi."
He added, "The meeting discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them, and cooperation between Iraq and the United Arab Emirates in all fields. The ambassador also handed over to His Excellency an official invitation from the President of the Federal National Council, Mr. Saqr Ghobash, to visit the United Arab Emirates, with the aim of developing parliamentary relations, parliamentary coordination and unifying opinions between the two councils." In the various parliamentary forums, in the interest of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
