Halbousi and Tueller stress the need for continued security cooperation between the two countries

    Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi and US Ambassador to Iraq Matthew Tueller stressed today, Tuesday, the need for continued security cooperation between the two countries.
    The media office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, received the American ambassador to Iraq, Matthew Tueller," noting that "during the meeting, bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States were discussed, and the continuation of strengthening the continuity of relations between Iraq and the United States was discussed." Security cooperation, the continuation of the strategic dialogue between the two countries, and support for Iraq in all fields, in a way that contributes to achieving development and stability.
    He added, "The meeting discussed early elections, the need to ensure their integrity and provide electoral security to create a safe and stable environment, in order to protect the will of voters in choosing their representatives, as well as the importance of the decision to renew the mandate of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) and its role in monitoring elections, to enhance confidence.
