Foreign Minister confirms cooperation between Iraq and Philippines

      Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein affirmed today, Tuesday, that Iraq aspires to a greater role for the Philippines in various fields, while indicating Baghdad's interest in opening channels for bilateral cooperation with Manila.
    The Foreign Ministry stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that foreign minister Fuad Hussein received a copy of the credentials of Genresu Kalonk, the Philippine ambassador to Baghdad, and then the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to strengthen them in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples.
     Hussein expressed "Baghdad's aspiration for a greater role for the Philippines in various fields, stressing Baghdad's interest in strengthening communication between officials of the two countries and open cooperation ways between the two countries.
    The minister called for "the need to continue working to raise levels of coordination and consultation at all levels," wishing the Philippine ambassador "good luck and success in his duties in Baghdad.
    He expressed, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is ready to provide all services to the diplomatic mission to achieve the common interests between the two countries.
