    Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi stressed today, Tuesday, that the government seeks to strengthen bilateral relations between Iraq and NATO, while stressing the importance of developing these relations in non-combat fields.

    The media office of the prime minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi received today, Tuesday, Assistant Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) John Manza and his accompanying delegation,” indicating that “during the meeting they discussed Bilateral cooperation between Baghdad and NATO, and the role that the NATO mission plays by supporting Iraq in its war against terrorism, and in raising the level of its military capabilities within the frameworks of training, advice, and the development of institutional and other structures. "

    "The government's endeavor to strengthen bilateral relations between Iraq and NATO, and the importance of elevating this relationship to a new and fruitful beginning confined to non-combat fields in accordance with the requirements of the Iraqi government and respect for the country's sovereignty," Al-Kadhimi stressed.
