Al-Maliki: The Israeli air strikes have killed entire Palestinian families

The Palestinian Foreign Minister, Riyad al-Maliki, confirmed today, Sunday, that the Israeli air strikes targeted and killed entire Palestinian families, destroyed civilian buildings, and caused tens of thousands of Palestinians to be displaced in Gaza.

Al-Maliki said, in a speech during the Security Council emergency session to discuss developments in Jerusalem, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We are unable to describe the suffering of the Palestinian people due to the aggression of the occupation."

He added, "The Israeli air strikes have targeted and killed entire Palestinian families, and caused the leveling of civilian buildings to the ground and the displacement of tens of thousands of people in Gaza."

He emphasized that "Israel continues its settlement policies," noting that "the settlers are the terrorists and the Palestinians are defending their land."
