Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein and Pope Francis discussed the outcomes of his historic visit to Iraq.
"Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein met His Holiness Pope Francis in the Vatican and conveyed thanks and appreciation of the Iraqi government and people for the historic visit of His Holiness to Iraq and it outcomes,” said Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahhaf in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
Hussein stressed "the importance of reviving and reconstructing archaeological areas in Iraq, especially the city of Ur in Nasiriyah," referring to "the Iraqi government's desire to invite construction and investment companies to work in Iraq,"
