Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met today, Sunday, with the British Ambassador to Iraq ,Stephen Hitchen.
The Prime Minister's media office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA):The meeting discussed bilateral relations between Iraq and the United Kingdom and explored ways to enhance cooperation across various fields to serve the mutual interests of both nations.
It added," The discussion also touched upon regional developments. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of Britain, other major powers, and international organizations taking action to end the ongoing war in Gaza and Lebanon. "
He stressed the urgent need to halt the brutal crimes committed by occupation forces, which have resulted in thousands of casualties, and to address the risks posed by the continuation of this war to regional and global security.
