    Al-Azhar affirmed today, Friday that the Pope's visit to Iraq is historic and carries a message of peace and solidarity.
    Commenting on the Pope's visit to Iraq, Al-Azhar said: "This visit is historic and carries a message of peace and solidarity."
    For his part, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, affirmed that "the Pope's visit to Iraq carries a message of love and peace."
    For its part, the European Union mission said: "The Pope's visit is a historic milestone for Iraq."
