Postponement of the Palestinian parliamentary elections

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced that he would postpone rare parliamentary elections, amid a dispute over voting rights.
Abbas said that elections could only take place if Israel allowed Palestinians to vote in occupied East Jerusalem.
Parliamentary and presidential elections were scheduled to take place next May
