Hakim and Zarif confirm the importance of the upcoming elections

The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim, received today, Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Muhammad Javad Zarif, as the two sides stressed the importance of the upcoming elections and the strengthening of relations between the two countries.
A statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim received Iranian Foreign Minister Muhammad Javad Zarif this morning, and during the meeting they discussed developments in Iraqi and international affairs, and bilateral relations between the two countries."
The statement added, "The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Baghdad and Tehran in a way that serves the interests of the two neighboring countries. We also stressed the importance of the upcoming Iraqi elections, as they represent an opportunity to change the Iraqi reality and push for the stability of the political situation and the ensuing comprehensive stability in the country."
