The Ministerial Council discusses the curfew

    The Ministerial Council for National Security discussed today, Thursday, the file of the partial and comprehensive curfew approved by the Supreme Committee for National Health and Safety as part of measures to confront the Corona pandemic, security in Nineveh Governorate and other files.

    The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Ministerial Council for National Security today held its regular session chaired by the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi," noting that "at the beginning of the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief directed The Armed Forces congratulate the Iraqi Air Force Command, with its officers, fighters and employees, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Iraqi Air Force.

    On the other hand, Al-Kadhimi stressed during the session, according to the statement, "the importance and priority of training for the security forces, and exerting efforts in the field of preparing police commanders according to a modern methodology and advanced standards," directing the National Security Adviser, in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior, for the purpose of developing a comprehensive vision on the distribution of Powers, tasks, and ways of coordinating with operations leaders to define responsibilities.

    The statement added, "The council discussed the partial and comprehensive curfew approved by the Supreme Committee for National Health and Safety as part of the measures to confront the Corona pandemic, and it was decided to add the membership of the National Security Adviser to the committee," indicating that "the council discussed ways to enhance security stability in Nineveh Governorate, and hosted in this regard." The governor of Nineveh, the commander of its operations and the commander of its police, and the council discussed ways to remove the obstacles facing the work of the security and administrative agencies and ways to overcome them.

    He pointed out that "Al-Kadhimi directed to host the governor and officials in the governorate in one of the upcoming cabinet sessions to take the necessary decisions to serve the people of Nineveh governorate and rebuild it," explaining that "the council discussed a number of topics on its agenda and took appropriate decisions regarding them."
