The project manager, Engineer Wahab Rasheed, said in an exclusive interview with the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "The work is continuing at an increasing pace after the Minister of Youth and Sports Adnan Darjal announced the establishment of the final of the Iraq Cup during the opening ceremony of the stadium."
Rashid added, "The first stage is nearing completion after the iron structure and roof of the stadium arrived from Turkey, which is the main part in completing work requirements after a hiatus of about a week due to the measures followed by the National Health and Safety Committee for the Corona pandemic."
Rasheed added, "The pitch of the stadium has been furnished with primary tartan, and the main layer will be furnished during the next week, in addition to the completion of the main VIP cabin, the outdoor garage and other facilities specified in the first phase of work."
