The White House intends to form a team to investigate the possible interference of former US President Donald Trump in the work of the scientific community.
This came in a letter sent by the US administration to officials of the federal authority bodies yesterday.
The message said: "Restoring and preserving the integrity of science will require the participation of scientists from various government agencies who will present their opinions in this regard."
Among the aims of the investigation is to reveal whether the previous administration allowed political interference in the affairs of science and scholars in the United States.
